7kW home EV chargers fitted across West & North Yorkshire. NAPIT-registered, DNO notified, grant eligibility checked per customer where eligible.
From £1,095 fully fitted (single-phase, on-driveway). Half-day install. Certificate + DNO notification handled.
Most home EV charger installs are a half-day job. We arrive, isolate at the consumer unit, run a dedicated 6mm² SWA cable from the consumer unit (or an EV-ready sub-board) out to the charger location on your driveway or garage, fit a load-balanced 7kW unit (Pod Point, Ohme, Easee or Hypervolt typically), commission and pair it to your wifi, then test and certify.
We notify the DNO (district network operator — Northern Powergrid in most of West Yorks) automatically. If your supply needs upgrading (uncommon below 100A) we'll spot that on survey and explain before the install.
We also handle the EICR check that some lenders + insurers ask for after a charger goes in, and we keep records of the install for 6 years should you need to reference it for warranty claims.
Text photos of fuseboard + charger location — we quote within an hour. Free survey for trickier installs.
We confirm if you qualify for OLEV / Workplace Charging Scheme grants and apply where eligible.
Cable run, charger fit, commission, wifi-pair, test. Power-off for ~20 min during isolation.
NAPIT MEIWC issued, DNO notification submitted, charger paperwork handed over.
Notifiable work registered with Building Control automatically — you stay legal, certificate in hand.
All work installed to BS 7671:2024 — the latest 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 3). Current UK standard for safe installation.
Quote in writing before work starts. Number on the quote = number on the invoice.
26 years in the British Army. On time, tidy, finished. Standards aren't optional.
Bradford-based, working from Halifax to York and across the M62 corridor into Lancashire + Greater Manchester. We know the housing stock and the postcodes.
From £1,095 for a standard 7kW single-phase install on a domestic driveway. Tricky cable runs (>15m, multiple drilled walls, rendering) push to £1,350-£1,650. We quote fixed-price after a photo or survey.
Pod Point, Ohme, Easee, Hypervolt are all OZEV-approved and we fit any of them. We can recommend based on your car's connector type, smart-tariff plans (Octopus Intelligent etc) and whether you want app/scheduled charging.
The original OZEV £350 home-charge grant ended for owner-occupiers in 2022 but landlords, leaseholders and people with new-build properties may still qualify under EVHS / WCS / EVCG schemes. We help with the paperwork.
Sometimes. If your existing board doesn't have RCBO protection or is dated, the EV install regs require an upgrade as part of the work. We'll spot this on survey and quote both items together so there are no surprises.
Most modern UK domestic supplies are 100A — that's plenty for a 7kW (32A) charger plus normal household load. Older 60A or 80A supplies can still take a 7kW charger with a load-limiter, but we'll check the cut-out fuse on survey.
Half a day on average. Around 4-5 hours for a typical install — cable run is the slowest part. You're plugged in and charging by lunchtime in most cases.
