How much does a fuse board upgrade cost?

A fuse board (consumer unit) upgrade usually costs £875–£1,400 and takes one day. The price covers the new board, fitting, full testing and a NAPIT Electrical Installation Certificate. The final figure depends on how many circuits you have and what the testing finds.

How much does it cost to rewire a house?

A full house rewire usually costs £4,500–£9,000 and takes three to five days, depending on the size of the house and how easy it is to get cables in. We notify Building Control through NAPIT for you. Plastering and making good is not included: most customers use their own plasterer once the cables are in.

How much does an EV charger installation cost?

A home EV charger usually costs £1,095–£1,150 fitted, including the charger, a dedicated supply, testing, the certificate and notifying your network operator (DNO). Most installs take half a day. If your fuse board needs upgrading first, we quote that separately.

How much does a landlord EICR cost?

A landlord EICR usually costs £200–£500, depending on the size of the property and the number of circuits. Testing takes two to four hours and the report is valid for five years on a rental. If anything fails, we quote the remedial work separately so you can decide.

Is there a call-out fee for a quote?

No. Quote visits are free across our area, which covers West Yorkshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Steven comes out, looks at the job and gives you one fixed price in writing.

Why do you give a range instead of an exact price?

Two jobs with the same name can be very different: the age of the wiring, the state of the fuse board and how easy it is to get to all change the work involved. The range above is what most of our customers pay. After a free visit we fix the price, and that is the price you pay.
