Home EV chargers fitted across Rochdale, Heywood, Milnrow, Littleborough, Norden and Bamford. Thirty minutes from our Bradford base, fixed price in writing, Electricity North West notified.
7kW from £1,095 fully fitted (single-phase, on-driveway). Half-day install. Certificate + DNO notification handled.
Rochdale is about 30 minutes west of our Bradford base along the M62 — one of the quickest runs over the Pennines we do. We cover OL10 to OL16: Rochdale itself, Heywood, Milnrow, Littleborough, and the suburbs at Norden and Bamford.
Unlike Bradford's gritstone, a lot of Rochdale's terraces are red brick, which is easier to drill and route through. The problem is parking, not walls: many front straight onto the pavement. No cable across the footway — the on-street route is a permanent cross-pavement channel with consent from Rochdale Borough Council as highways authority.
The post-war semis across the borough and the newer suburbs at Norden and Bamford are where most Rochdale chargers go: a drive beside the house, the board within reach, and a standard half-day install. Milnrow, right on the M62, has plenty of commuter households for whom a 7kW charger on a cheap overnight tariff makes obvious sense.
Up towards Littleborough and the Pennine edge the houses are more often stone, with longer runs to garages. Over about 15 metres or through several walls the job moves into the £1,350-£1,650 band; we measure on survey and fix the price.
Rochdale has a lot of buy-to-let stock around the centre. Tenants with their own off-street parking qualify for the £500 grant, and landlords can claim for up to 200 sockets across their properties. See our landlord EV charger grants page for how that works.
Rochdale is covered by Electricity North West. We notify them about the charger and, if your main fuse is too small for the extra load, arrange the upgrade before install day.
From £1,095 fully fitted for a standard 7kW single-phase charger on a driveway, and most installs come in at £1,095-£1,150. Longer or trickier cable runs — over 15 metres, several drilled walls, rendering — push it to £1,350-£1,650. That includes the dedicated cable from your consumer unit, the charger fitted and commissioned, testing, the NAPIT certificate and the network operator notification (Electricity North West in Rochdale).
The OZEV grant is £500 per socket. It applies if you rent your home, house or flat, with its own off-street parking; if you own a flat; or if you only have on-street parking and fit a permanent cross-pavement solution with the highways authority's consent. Landlords can claim too. Owner-occupiers of houses are not eligible. We are an OZEV authorised installer (EVHS 14604). Check whether you qualify →
Text photos of your fuse board, meter and the charger location. Free survey for trickier installs.
We check whether you fall under an OZEV scheme and take £500 a socket off where it applies.
