Home EV chargers fitted across Keighley, Silsden, Steeton, Haworth and the Worth Valley. Twenty minutes from our Bradford base, fixed price in writing, network operator notified.
7kW from £1,095 fully fitted (single-phase, on-driveway). Half-day install. Certificate + DNO notification handled.
Keighley is about 20 minutes north-west of us and in the same Bradford district, which makes it one of the closest towns we cover. We work the whole of BD20, BD21 and BD22: the town itself, Utley, Riddlesden and Long Lee, Silsden and Steeton further up the Aire valley, and Haworth and the Worth Valley villages.
Central Keighley is mill-era stone terraces, many on steep streets with parking at the kerb. The rule is the same as anywhere: no cable across the pavement. The only proper on-street option is a permanent cross-pavement channel with consent from Bradford Council as the highways authority, and that conversation has to happen before we can fit anything.
The bulk of our Keighley EV work is on the semis in Utley and Riddlesden, the estates at Long Lee, and the newer housing in Silsden and Steeton — houses with a drive or garage beside them where the charger is a standard half-day install. If your home is a recent new build, check first whether it already came with a chargepoint; new builds where one is already required by law are excluded from the grant.
Haworth and the older Worth Valley villages are stone cottages and conservation-area streets. A charger is still usually permitted development, but a listed cottage needs listed building consent, and thick stone walls mean a long drill and a carefully planned cable route. We would rather tell you that on survey than discover it on the day.
A lot of older BD21 property is still on an older fuse board without RCBO protection. If so, the board upgrade is quoted together with the charger as one price. Northern Powergrid is the network operator for the Keighley area, and we notify them for you.
From £1,095 fully fitted for a standard 7kW single-phase charger on a driveway, and most installs come in at £1,095-£1,150. Longer or trickier cable runs — over 15 metres, several drilled walls, rendering — push it to £1,350-£1,650. That includes the dedicated cable from your consumer unit, the charger fitted and commissioned, testing, the NAPIT certificate and the network operator notification (Northern Powergrid in Keighley).
The OZEV grant is £500 per socket. It applies if you rent your home, house or flat, with its own off-street parking; if you own a flat; or if you only have on-street parking and fit a permanent cross-pavement solution with the highways authority's consent. Landlords can claim too. Owner-occupiers of houses are not eligible. We are an OZEV authorised installer (EVHS 14604). Check whether you qualify →
Text photos of your fuse board, meter and the charger location. Free survey for trickier installs.
We check whether you fall under an OZEV scheme and take £500 a socket off where it applies.
Cable run, charger fit, commission, wifi-pair, test. Power off for around 20 minutes during isolation.
NAPIT certificate issued, Northern Powergrid notified, charger paperwork handed over.
From £1,095 for a standard 7kW single-phase driveway install, and most Keighley jobs are £1,095-£1,150. Longer or trickier runs (over 15m, several drilled walls, rendering) are £1,350-£1,650. Fixed price in writing after photos or a survey.
Yes. We cover all of BD20, BD21 and BD22, including Silsden, Steeton, Haworth, Oxenhope and the Worth Valley villages, at the same prices as Bradford.
Often yes, but a listed building needs listed building consent for the charger and usually the cable route before installation. Conservation-area houses that are not listed are normally permitted development, though the position on the frontage needs more care.
Probably not. New builds where a chargepoint is already required by law are excluded from the OZEV grant, and it is one claim per person. We can still add or upgrade a charger as a normal paid install.
Northern Powergrid. We notify them about the charger, and if your main fuse is too small for a 7kW charger alongside your existing load we either load-limit the charger or arrange an upgrade.
